John’s January 1967 piano demo of ‘You Know My Name (Look up the Number)’ is a rough version which sounds like it was heading for inclusion on the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ E.P rather than the polished version is later surfaced as in 1970. Dare I say it, but these are THE greatest versions of that track, far better than any ‘Let It Be’ or ‘Get Back’ sessions version. Included here are some absolute gems for Beatles enthusiasts - two acoustic versions of ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ performed by John and recorded by Ringo at his Montague Square apartment, London. Many are offered here in the very earliest stages of development and it is a joy to hear how John, Paul and George got these out of their heads and onto tape. A wonderful collection of essentially early mainly acoustic demo recordings of Beatles songs and unreleased tracks. The Beatles 'At Home With The Beatles 1960-1969' huge 29 track CD.
